I arrived around 6:30 for the 8pm rally. They opened the doors just before 8. That means well over 1,000 people stood in the lobby of the convention center for over an hour. Some of us even longer.
Obama didn’t take the stage until after 9 and spoke for 40 minutes. So we were all on our feet for three hours with no food and no water. I’m sure we lost one or two that night. I suspect the scene has been repeated across the country. The phenomenon doesn’t have nearly as much to do with
