Garnett for MVP
April 13th, 2008
The argument for MVP seems to have come down to Kobe and CP-3.
Boston went from 24-58 last season to 64-16 this season and Kevin Garnett isn’t even in the conversation. How does this happen?
“Oh Bean” you say, “he’s playing in the Eastern conference. If they were in the West, the Celts would have been ground into paste.”
Right. How then do you explain Boston’s 25-5 record against the Western conference this season?
Yes, Kobe should have been recognized long ago. But what Garnett has done in Boston this season is nothing short of remarkable. Boston’s 40-game improvement is testament to that. He should be the league’s MVP.
Don’t worry, Bean, the Celts will be taking the league championship this year. That’s the most important thing on KG’s mind right now. Who’s gonna beat them? Lamar Odom and Luke Walton? My a*s.
