Viral Marketing

Oceanic Air

I guess there are a few of these Oceanic Airlines billboards around town. This one happens to be on Grand Ave. just north of Division Street. Rick Emerson mentioned Portland will play a prominent role in Lost this season. I’ve yet to see the show, so I couldn’t tell you what any of this is about. Is it a clue? Is this? How about this? I couldn’t tell you.

I might start getting paranoid about all this viral marketing. Fortunately the Parepin is helping to smooth me out.

1/15/08 update:  If you found me on a MySpace blog, let me know where so I can give credit.  Thanks!

Before I read your post I saw the photo and wondered why you had a still from Lost.
That’s cool. I need to go check it out.

Portland made it into one episode last season. Wait. Maybe it was just the mention of Portland as a place they were going. I don’t think they actually got there.

The episode was called “Not in Portland”

I don’t think there are any clues left to get if one is up to date. Or is there?

I’m not a Lost nut really.

    No. Really.

$10 says they don’t actually film a single scene in Portland. Criminal Minds had a Portland episode earlier this season and they didn’t even get an actual map of the city in some of their shots.
